experiment

Soon I am going to start an experiment. Much like the new movie about Julia Childs or Child and this lady who blogged or wrote a piece in which she took 365 days to try every recipe in Julia's cook book etc...Anyway, any suggestions as to what I should try and then blog about what is going on?

Hmmmm....

That's all I can say right now. Hmmmm. It's a long contemplative sigh of sorts. I have a lot of things going on and will see what the end result will be. Hmmmm.......

That was a lame blog. Hopefully, I will have something far greater next time.

War Torn

I would be lying if I were to say everything is ok. For the past few months I have not posted anything. Can I tell you that things don't always go as well as you want them? Can I also say that we can do some crazy things and get involved with some crazy stuff? Well, I won't ramble as I only have an audience of one or less maybe two counting myself but, that's cool. I went through one of the darkest periods of my life and I have come out a different man. Just like war. All those gung ho new recruits and young guys want to go to war but after a while, they see that a part of them is taken away each time. When a soldier of war returns home, many times he/she is not the same. I have a dear friend who has endured alot in battle in the middle east and he is not the same man. I can say this because I was a soldier. Anyway, my own war has taken its toll on me but a co-worker put it best. Bobby Earl said, "if you're going to believe in Him, believe Him!"
That's all I have to stand on. Yeah I enjoy some things that I wish I did not enjoy and that's another blog. TTYL

Hellooooooooo!

I know it has been quite some time. My last post mentioned storms. I must say I am slowly coming out of or maybe into a storm. I don't know. Somehow I got turned around while seemingly coming out of one of the storms of my life and it seems I am headed back into it.
There must be something I am to learn. Well, the bible does say all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. Let's see:
1. I love Him. I said I did.
2. I am called. Called to minister the Gospel but also called into His grace. Hey, we all are!
Are you with me? If you don't love Him. Try to. We love him because He first loved us. So read 1 Corinthians Chptr 13. It's all about luv.
3. He has a purpose for you. You're not just living to die.
Remember: It's working for my good. Make that your mantra. "It's working for my good." Or get hip with it and say "it's all good." Because all things work together for good. Not some things or one little thing but all things!

From the land of the lost...seriously!

Hello to all of my friends. You're a friend if you read this. Even if this is your first time. Yes, the title of this blog is true. I am greeting you from what seems to be the land of the lost. It's been a very trying few months. I realize that people are either in a storm, coming out of a storm or going into a storm. The unique thing about this is when a storm comes, the first portion of it is tough, then ,you are in the eye. The eye is relatively calm. Finaly the storm passes but of course, you encounter some very rough spots again before you are out.

Take heart, you are probably on your way out of the storm. Just "batten down the hatches!"
That sounds korny, but I was a sailor. We will have to later address the fact of the calm in the eye as well as the calm just before the storm. Just be prepared!

I was thinking...

I was thinking about how people often say when I die my labors will be over etc...
I know how they feel. Sometimes more often than not, I feel like life itself a labor. I believe we stress too much about the things of life. Trust God to be God. I'm getting back to simplicity.
Jesus, help us to simply trust you.

I know this is not something real deep but it helps me to stay grounded.

Hello everyone. It has been quite some time. Is anyone out there?
of course you are otherwise, I would not be here typing.
What's going on? How are you doing? Is your life well? Family ok?

I feel that God is taking us around the corner. To put it better: You are about to tunr a corner in your life. Really. Seriously.
